Mars Society Australia has had a long-standing involvement with the Mars Desert Research Station with many members participating in expeditions there and providing science and mission support. We applaud The KiwiSpace Foundation’s crew to MDRS and believe that it will be of great benefit to those taking part in the expedition and to space outreach and education in New Zealand. We look forward to supporting the expedition in any way possible. We hope that the Kiwi mars project will be the first of many such projects involving collaboration between New Zealand, Australia and elsewhere and of many Mars-related research, education, and outreach programs in New Zealand.
