Just like the great explorers of the old world who reached the shores of Aotearoa - New Zealand based on their skill and driven by curiosity, KiwiMars Outreach is a pilot project that will take students, teachers and the public on a journey of discovery, reaching new frontiers and developing cultural awareness, to find out what it takes to be an explorer of another world.
You are all invited to participate in KiwiMars2012!
Here it is how:

- Interact with us live at the Mission Control Carter (MCC): MCC is active from 23 April to 4 May 2012 from 10 AM to 5 PM;
- Watch us online via the Education Portal and ask your questions in the forum;
- Trace our paths with the Eagle Mission Support.

At the Mission Control Carter you will be able to engage Live via live telemetry, video conferences, Skype calls and updates from the mission;
- Keep an eye on the updates for booking times for the live slot.

This site is under construction.
It will allow you to watch the crew via the webcams from MDRS and post your questions and comments into the mission's forum to be answered by our Mission Support Specialists. |

Eagle Mission Support also under construction will be hosted on the mission's website.
'Eagle is proud to support the KiwiMars initiative, providing access to technical expertise, infrastructure and the world's leading ArcGIS software to spatially enable the KiwiMars mission team.; This will allow students, researchers, media, and the general public to follow the group's progress and daily updates in a geographical context.'
- The mission support will enable you to track the expedition in real time provide news and updates, but also the ability for students to interact with the crew and a team of specialists (teachers) that can answer students' questions related to the experiments undertaken in real time during the mission.

Participate in Talks and Seminars upon the crew's return
- Upon return the crew will attend a series of talks and seminars to discuss the mission and future projects. KiwiMars 2012 will officially close with the bigest celebration of science and technology and their contribution to the betterment of the human condition: World Space Week 4-10 October 2012.
